Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop!
Oh wow, another month has gone by, and we are getting closer to the hectic Holiday season here in the states. But before I switch gears to Holiday cards, I decided to focus this month’s hop on something all us crafters are always thinking about… “Life is better when you’re crafting.”
Our September hop focuses on “Saying it with Sentiments”. If I live by one sentiment it definitely is the one I chose for this hop, Life is better when you’re crafting! Actually, all the sentiments in this stamp set (Crafting with You) are spot on! The others are “with Love”; “You inspire me” and “sending you a handmade Hug”.
If you are following along the hop, you have arrived from Jo’s Blog. Be sure to read through my Blog, comment below and continue to Maureen’s Blog. If you get lost along the way, no worries, you can find a list of Blog Hoppers at the end of each Blog. ENJOY!
MATERIALS NEEDED
Stamp Sets: Crafting with You
Paper: Boho Blue: 5 ½” x 8 ¼”, scored at 4 ¼”, card base; 2 ½” x 3 ¾”; scraps
Night of Navy: 4” x 5 ¼”; 5 ¼” x 3/8”, scraps
Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper (DSP): 3 ¾” x 5”
Basic White: Scraps for stamping
Crumb Cake: scraps
Ink: Night of Navy, Boho Blue, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake and Night of Navy markers
Tools/Accessories: Crafting with you Dies; Scalloped Contours Dies; Photo Collage Pop-up die
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Today’s card I started with a base of boho blue cardstock, layered with a 4” x 5 ¼ ” piece of night of navy cardstock. Then layered with a piece of Countryside Inn DSP.
2. I then added a narrow strip of night of navy cardstock to the card front on the left hand side. I also die cut a scallop frame from Scalloped Contours dies out of boho blue card stock.
3. Next, I stamped every image in the stamp set. I also die cut every image in the Crafting with you stamp die set. For this I tried to stay with the colors that coordinate with countryside inn dsp.
4. To finish off the card front, I stamped the easel and believe it or not, I did cut up a sentiment die!!!!
1. Die cut and assemble the mechanism per video instructions. Then all you need to do is attach all of the pieces to the flaps and “arms”. This was such a fun project I cant wait to do more!
So, there you have it, my “Say it with a sentiment” card! I hope you enjoyed this month’s blog post!! Comments of any kind (well hopefully nice ones, lol) are greatly appreciated. When you are done be sure to hop on over to the next blogger, Maureens on the list!
See you next month!
