Stampin Friends March Bog Hop - Monochromatic March!!

Welcome to another installment Stampin Friends Blog Hop!

Happy March, it's Monochromatic March!!!  It's weird that I have never tried to make a monochromatic card or project.  It is hard for me to stick with one color. I tried my best for this hop and hope you like what I have come up with.
If you are following along the hop, you have arrived from Katja's blog. Be sure to read through my blog, comment below and continue to Kristy's blog. If you get lost along the way, no worries, you can find a list of Blog Hoppers at the end of each Blog. ENJOY!

Believe it or not I started my project last April.  I was working on my Easter treats then, and then the world shut down and Easter was cancelled.  Seeing as we may have an Easter here in the States, I pulled out my treats and decided to finish them up and add a card.  Don't worry, the treats I had picked up is just a flavored powdered sugar in a plastic carrot container.  When I hand these out I will give full disclaimer that they were from last year, lol.  So they can take their chance on whether or not they will want to eat it.

Let's start with the greeting card.  Again, these were mostly prepped last year, so the stamp set used is retired, but you can substitute any stamp set for this card.

SUPPLIES:

Stamp Sets: Welcome Easter
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Momento Black
Paper: Gorgeous Grape Cardstock (scrap)
Brights 6"x6" DSP (5 3/8"x4 1/8"; 1 7/8"2 3/4")
Highland Heather Cardstock (scraps)
Bright White Cardstock (8 1/2"x5 1/2"; 2 1/4"x5 1/2", 5/8"x2 3/4"; 2"x3 1/2")
Tools/Accessories:Scalloped Tag Punch, Rectangular Postage Stamp, Small Flower Punch, Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon, Basic Rhinstones, Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Adhere the Gorgeous Grape DSP to the front of the card base.
  2. Next emboss the 2 1/4"x5 1/2" bright white cardstock with the wrapped in texture embossing folder. Then adhere this to the card base towards the top.
  3. Punch out three rectangular postage out of gorgeous grape cardstock and adhere this to the bright white cardstock using dimensional, evenly spaced apart.
  4. Stamp one each of the characters in moments black ink from the stamp set Welcome Easter, and adhere to the gorgeous grape pieces on the card front.
  5. Stamp the Easter Greeting in gorgeous grape ink onto the 5/8"x2 3/4" bright white strip of paper and adhere to the lower right hand side of the card using dimensional.
  6. Lastly, punch out three small flowers, arrange them next to the greeting and add rhinestones to the center.

Here's my treat that will accompany my Easter greeting card.
As I mentioned earlier, these were in the works last year, however, Easter was cancelled so they've been sitting and waiting for this year.  I found these plastic carrots filled with flavored powdered sugar, I put them in cello bags and added some Easter basket grass to them.  Lastly, I added a tag to them to coordinate with the card.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. I created a tag, using the Scalloped Tag punch.  The size bright white cardstock I used is 2x3 1/2".  I then layered the 1 7/8"x2 3/4" piece of DSP.
  2. I punched out another rectangle postage out of gorgeous grape and adhered this to the tag front with dimensionals.
  3. I stamped a bunny from the Welcome Easter stamp set and applied him to the rectangular postage.
  4. Lastly, I used highland heather sheer ribbon to attach it to the cello bag.

I hope you enjoyed my monochromatic Easter Card and Treat!!   Comments of any kind (well hopefully nice ones, lol) are greatly appreciated.  When you are done here be sure to check out Kristy's blog for more fun ideas!

See you next month!
